The Roma's vineyard sits on Lone Tree Ridge at 1850 feet overlooking the heart of Anderson Valley. Its ridge top orientation takes full advantage of the warm sun and cooler daytime temperatures with a 50 degree coastal diurnal swing dipping into the 40's and 50's at night. Originally planted for sparkling wine, the vineyard was retrained to bi-lateral cordons for Pinot Noir production. The vineyards Gold Ridge loamy soils were planted to the Pommard clone in 1992 and sustainably, organically and dry land farmed.
